After all the cars are lined up on the grid, the race starts when ten red lights in 5 pairs of columns turn on.
Each column lights up one at a time, one second apart, going from left to right. After all five columns are lit up, they stay that way for a few seconds. Then they all go out at once, and the race starts.
If the start is stopped, the five red lights come on again, but they don’t go out. Instead, orange lights come on, and the race starts over.
At the end of the race, the first, second, and third-place drivers stand on a podium and will receive trophies. The winning team also gets an award for the best car.
